About Solar Simplified


Solar Simplified is Utah's one-stop-shop for solar information for citizens, businesses, solar contractors, local governments and utilities.  We're your source for unbiased and comprehensive information, tools, and resources to understand Utah's solar market, simplify the solar process, streamline solar adoption, and expand Utah's solar market. Utah Clean Energy, a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization, develops and maintains updated content on Solar Simplified.

The Wasatch Solar Challenge (2012 - 2014) was a diverse partnership of local governments and local non-profit organizations working collaboratively to spur solar development by cutting red tape to reduce barriers and lower costs for residential and small commercial rooftop solar systems. The Wasatch Solar Challenge Team was one of 22 teams selected to be part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Rooftop Solar Challenge


The Wasatch Solar Team (2015 - 2017) is a partnership between Salt Lake City and Utah Clean Energy through the Solar Market Pathways initiative, a part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s SunShot Initiative to make solar energy more accessible and affordable, increase domestic solar deployment, and position the U.S. as a leader in the rapidly-growing global solar market. The Wasatch Solar Team is one of 15 projects from across the country working to advance solar deployment across the United States.
